Wise Old Owl is based upon a workshop that I attended many years ago and learnt this beautiful technique from another artist.

I have held onto this for so long, and now I am ready for it to find another home where it will bring as much joy to you as it did for me.

I am a big believer in signs and at the time I did this painting, and I was seeing owls everywhere. On tv, in a shop, spotting an owl while driving home one night. All signs.

Apparently, they can appear as a symbol during challenging times as a guide. They relay truth, understanding, patience, and wisdom to us when we need it most.

Going through a breast cancer diagnosis certainly had its challenging moments, and I mean the mental challenges at this time.
